Teacups and Cupcakes

I personalised this guest book for family friends wedding. It was a vintage theme and I given photos of the the ribbon and tea cups they were using for afternoon tea so I was inspired by the photos.
Inside the front cover- I made two little teacups and then copied the design of them so they matched the photo!
I made this card that matched too!
I had an order of cupcakes on Friday, I was asked to make 30 for a 70th Birthday, I was given free reign too so I could do anything on them! I made half plain and half chocolate and did lots of different decoration on them and made little flowers for them too!
I did them in mixed cake cases and some of them were great dotty ones, which you can't see that well here so you'll just have to trust me!

Dotty

Just popped in to show you this Sunday's challenge at The Studio! I designed a sketch for this challenge here it is:
And this is my layout from it! I thought with all those circles, there was only one thing I could scrap, the dotty cake I made for my sister-in-laws 30th Birthday last year! I punched and cut out lots of circles in the colours from the cake and raised some of them up and overlapped them.
I then added some sequins and gems to 'bling' it up a bit!!
We have some new design team members at The Studio now so please go and check out what they did with the sketch there is so much inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by.

Granny Love

I thought I would cheer up this grey day with some lovely colourful photos of my nephews Granny square blanket I'm making! I started making lots of squares in the summer and I haven't been doing it all that time but I keep dipping back into it and making more squares!
I have made so many squares and it's still not enough!! It's lucky I love crocheting so much! It's certainly not the quickest blanket to make but it does look so lovely even if I do say so myself!
I started sewing up the first couple of rows on new years eve (yeah I know how to live!!!) and it has now grown quite a lot since then. I've now sewn up 132 squares which makes almost a square blanket!! I've been really trying the get it done lately so hopefully it shouldn't take too much longer but we will see!!
I've been creating today but can't show you what I've made yet but hopefully I will have something scrappy to share soon!
Anyway better pick up my hook and get back to it!
Back soon!

Romance

Over at The Studio it's all change as Amanda has decided to take 6 months off so along with 2 of the DT members we have taken over!!
Today's challenge at The Studio is to scrap about love without using hearts.
I had this great photo of a family wedding which I thought would be perfect. I wanting it to feel romantic, I took the colours from their flowers.
It's my first go at using Watercolour on a layout and I really like how it turned out! It does give it a romantic feel to it. When it was dry I then stamped on it using a journalling stamp and my new script stamp, love it!
I matted the photo on a lightly patterned, patterned paper and then cut up a doily to fit around the corners and added a flower and some gems to finish!
Go and check out what the others from the DT did on the blog and if you join in you could become guest designer for next month!

Thanks for stopping by.
