Card Sharp

I've got quite a lot to share lots of cards I've been making and a layout. I finally cut into my Dear Lizzie papers, I was struggling to know which photos to put with it I quite decided I needed a little girl to scrap about!! I think I need to be brave and use them for anything really as they are spring colours. But in the end I went with pretty cupcakes! This was little challenge that I set over at The Studio to scrap a layout using handmade frames anyway anyhow! I do like setting myself little challenges, makes my do something a bit different. If you want to join in with any of them, please do!
I cut the rose out of one of the patterned papers and I coloured it with my watercolour pencils. Sorry just noticed that shadow! I made this card with some of the scraps I had left over for my cousin's Birthday.
This is an anniversary card for my sister and brother-in-law for their 2nd wedding anniversary, I don't know where the time goes! I love this idea I did for this card I saw it on a blog somewhere, really effective I also added another heart and wrapped cotton around it as the 2nd anniversary is cotton.
A new home card for my Brother sister-in-law and nephew as they moved into their new home last Friday.
I made this wedding card for my friend.
A baby card, sorry about the light in the photo I have only just taken it!
And finally another card that I made from my scrap bag just to keep in the draw! I do like making cards from my scraps, using those bits that you would of thrown away. I been trying to use up all my old cards I won't let myself buy any new ones until I've used them up, it is a bit challenging at times when all you want is a white card of a decent size!
Anyway I better go I'm off my my hols first thing tomorrow, my family and I are going to a villa in Tuscany, it's got a pool and everything! My nephew isn't very well though so I really hope he gets better so he can enjoy it too. What with that and the BA strikes, me having a sore throat and volcano ash we will be glad to get there in one piece!!
I plan to take loads of photos that I can scrap!
Have a good week and I see you when I get back! xx

Duck Spotting

I've been a bit of a lazy blogger but I have been quite busy! I must show you the layout I did a little while ago had I hadn't got around to showing you. I set myself another little challenge for this one it was 'don't use any straight lines'! I've got a bit stuck in using straight line lately just because there are easy! I really pleased with it! I used more October Afternoon Fly a kite. I love the spring/summer colours. The photos were taken at Easter when we had the day out. My brother and dad playing the 1,2,3, lift game with Rowan! Hope you know the one I'm talking about, I don't know what else to call it! We had Rowan for the day on Saturday as his mum and dad were busy packing as they are moving on Friday. We took him to Bradford on Avon by the canal, it was a lovely day. We had a picnic sat by the canal then had a walk along it, Rowan loved spotting all the ducks on the water!
A day out wouldn't be a day out without an ice cream, yum!

We they came back and had the first BBQ of the year which was lovely, good job we had it early as it did go off cold later.
I have made some cards too but I can;t show you at the moment as I can't find the photo of them! I must sort out my files! I'll be back with them shortly!
I've got a bit of a busy week this week so I don't think there's much chance of scrapping unfortunately. We have Rowan again today (he's having a nap while I write this!) and we are off out this evening, we are going to see 'The Calender Girls' in Bristol,I'm looking forward to it.

Hope your all having a good week, it was a gorgeous day yesterday, really warm, it's meant to stay that way but today it's really cloudy so we will wait and see!
I won't leave so long next time, sorry blog! xx

Truck loads of cupcakes

I just thought I would pop in and share with you the layout I made from the Sarah's cards sketch. It's a great sketch and I'm really pleased with this layout I made from it. The photo's of my nephew, Rowan playing in the garden with his truck last week. What fun he has had with a truck from a charity shop!
I used Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon papers and some of lovely ribbon and ric rac.

I have more layouts to share as I've been on a bit of a roll! I will leave these for next time though as I've had a busy day making lots of these; Cupcakes!
I made 3 dozen of them, plain, chocolate and coffee. Most of them are for the NSPCC coffee morning they are having next door tomorrow morning. I had a great time decorating them as my sister gave me some new nozzles for my piping bag. They are really good you can make some lovely shapes and flowers with them. This flower took quite a lot of practice but I got there is the end with the help of You tube!My sister coming home for the weekend so I have saved some for her to see! We are also looking after Rowan over night on Saturday so it will be a busy one again!
Have a good weekend, thanks for you comments as always! xx

Changing

I've got a couple of layout to share with you today. For a little while I've been slightly uneasy with my scrapping style I think it might be going through a change! So as I wasn't that happy I decided to set myself little challenges to see what my style is liking at the moment! This first one my little challenge to myself was not to use stripes of patterned paper as I use them all the time! So I used squares, my new yellow paint and of course more lovely OA!
I love these little lambies!! I did some hand cutting and cut the flowers from a sheet patterned paper and I cut the leave shapes from another. The next little challenge I set myself was to use more embellishments and cluster them. I don't think I been using enough embellishments lately! This layout was the result, my little nephew when he was first born. This will be the first page of his album, I don't know why I haven't scrapped it before, I love this photo so cute!
I even used stamps, I really should use them more I do like them but I got out of using them! I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out, maybe this is what my style likes at the moment more embellishments! I'm loving mists again too!
I made this journaling spot, cut a nice shape out inked the edges I found that cute teddy stamp so stamped that on and tied a ribbon around the top, easy!
Does your scrapping style go through changes or is it just me?!
I think I will try more embellishments from now when I scrap and on and see how I get on! The weather isn't very nice so I might get some scrapping done over the weekend! Hope you enjoy your long weekend whatever you get up to! Thanks for looking and listening! xx
