Numbers

The first challenge of the month at The Studio was all about using numbers on your layout. I unfortunately couldn't join in as my printer was having a funny time of it and wouldn't work, luckily it is now fixed so I thought I would do the challenge anyway! It's a bit bright!!
I used a photo of my nephews blanket that I crocheted for him and the title had to be the number of Granny squares I used for it, which was 208!!
I even crocheted a string of chains to put on it!

It was my sister-in-laws Birthday last Friday so I made her this card, it was good for using up bits that were left sitting on my desk, I'm pleased with how it turned out though!

We had our annual family picnic this last weekend unfortunately we chose to have it on the Sunday which was the worst day! I don't think it really stopped raining all day so we had our picnic at my sisters house instead and then went out for a walk. It was a shame the weather spoilt it but we still had a good time!

Thanks for looking.
Back soon! xx

Hanging

Today over at The Studio we have another great sketch from our lovely DT member Valerie, she makes great sketches, they are so easy to use!
Here's my take on it:
I painted the two main circles on my page and added some twine to them. I then created the third circle using silver pen but it really didn't like being photographed so you can hardly see it in the photo!

I really like how this layout turned out! Everyone on the DT did an amazing job on this sketch so make sure you go and take a look here!

Friday I spent the day making a cake for my nephews little friend, he wanted a Octonauts cake which are funny little characters that live under the sea! Anyway this is it!
It took quite a while to do but I enjoyed doing it and everyone said it was amazing so that makes it all worth while!

Thanks for stopping by! xx

Patriotic Cupcakes

Here's a new layout I haven't got around to showing you yet. I felt like trying something a little different with this one! I've seen lots of pages with strips across the top and bottom which look great and it's something I haven't done that much in my scrapping so I thought I would give it a go! I think the trick is to make it look balanced so I kept the middle bit quite simple!
The photo is of the cupcakes I made for the Jubilee, I went a bit crazy decorating them so they were real celebration cupcakes and in red, white and blue of course! I made little flags to put in them too so I added one of them on to the page!
It was nice try something a bit different and I quite like how it turned out!
Hope you like it!
