Double Trouble!

My secound challenge has gone up on The Studio. This challenge was to create a double page layout using at lease 6 photos. I decided to use some of the photos from Mum's 60th birthday tea party as we had so many! I used MME be loved again as I thought the paper have a party feel to them. I hadn't made a double layout for a while and I really enjoyed making it so I must make some more!
The other ladies at The studio have done some great double layouts too so check them out! Sorry there's a shadow over this corner, didn't notice that!
Here's a bit of a closer view without the shadow!

I made my own flowers using my circle punch. I saw them somewhere on the internet and thought it was a good idea so give them a go and I'm really pleased with how they turned out!

I also made this card with the left over bits!

More cards that I made!

We went to the seaside this afternoon! It's about a 40 minute drive to Weston-Super-Mare from here, we don't go that often but I sure we will be going more as my brother, sister-in-law and nephew are moving to a house near there. We had to go and see there it was! We took my dog Jack for a very windy walk along the beach which he loved but we got a bit blown away!!
Thanks for looking! xx

Firsts

I have a couple of things to show to have I made. I still haven't been feeling that well as I've had a tummy bug and it wiped me out but I'm feeling quite a lot better today.
This layout is of my little nephew's first shoes, I've had the idea for this for ages so it was good to get it down on paper!

I've also been making some cards as we've got quite a few Birthday and things that need cards, I still need to make more! I finally got my hands on some kraft cards, I've wanted to get some for ages. I been enjoying using something different for cards, I love the bright colours of the Be loved papers with the kraft. These two are birthday cards, one of which was for my friend Hannah who's Birthday it is today, Happy Birthday Hannah!
This one was for my brother and sister-in-law as it's their 3rd wedding anniversary today too. The colours on this one haven't photographed so well today anyway the 3rd wedding anniversary is leather so I used a bit of leather lace on it that I had in my jewellery making stuff. That's a about it for now. I've just taken delivery of the new Cosmo Material girl so hopefully there should be more to share soon! My next challenge is up at The Studio on Sunday so I'll be back then! I hope you're having a good week. xx

Going round

Here's a couple of layouts to share. The first one I did a couple of days ago, I was inspired by the sketch on Sketchy Thursdays. This layout came together really quickly, I used the lovely MME Be loved papers. The photo are of my little nephew, when he feeds himself he gets a bit messy! This other one I forgot to share with you! I started it before Christmas but I never fully finished it as my Christmas journal got in the way! So a few weeks ago when I finished my journal I finished it off! I've never really done circles before as I didn't think I liked them! But they seem to be on a lot of sketches at the moment so I thought I should give them a go! I'm quite pleased with the look of the circles on these layouts so I will definitely be using them again!

We are looking after my nephew tomorrow afternoon so we are planning a trip to the park in Bath which should be good, just hope we can tare him away from the swings to come home!!
That's it for now. Thanks for looking. xx

My first DT layout!

My first design team layout has got up over on The Studio! The challenge was to make a page about the love of your life (person, chocolate bar, whatever!) without using pink or red. This is what I created, I really enjoyed making it as I tried different techinques out on it!

I was inspired by some digital layouts that I saw and liked. I liked the twisted ribbon and rope and all the embellishments on the pages but I don't scrap digital so I took these ideas and used them on my layout. I also had a go at painting rings and paint slashes. It's quite hard to get a good paint slash!

The other talented ladies have come up with some lovely layouts so go and check it out!!

I'll be back soon with some more layouts. Hope you are all having a nice Valentines day! xx

Celebrations

I haven't done much scrapping lately as I'm ill again with another cold, I seem to of had one for about 2 months now!! I have been making lots of cards instead.

I had a very busy weekend with my Mum's 60th Birthday celebrations! We had my sister and BIL and some old friends staying with us. On Saturday evening we went to our local pub for a meal, just family and our old friends. The pub has an old railway carriage attached to it where you can had special meal so we were in there. It was really lovely and the landlady even gave mum a mini bottle of champagne! Here are the cards I made for mum, this one's the one I gave her. Sorry about the funny photo!

And this one my Dad asked me the make for Mum. I made it with my lovely new MME papers. Quite pleased with this one as it's a bit different for me! Mum loved them anyway!
I also made a bit of bunting for the afternoon tea we had on Sunday afternoon.
We had a house full of family and friends, you couldn't move in the lounge!! This was all the tea cups we needed!!
These are the cupcakes I made and decorated!
Here's mum blowing out the candles on her cake, yes there is 60! She nearly run out of puff to blow them out!

We all had a great time and she really enjoyed it too. My mum got loads of lovely pressies but the main thing she wanted was a family holiday so we are off to Tuscany at the end of May, we can't wait! So I think there will be more celebrations then!!

I have manged to make one layout, my first piece of DT work for The Studio. It's all change at the studio as there are now weekly challenges every Sunday, the first team's layouts are up now. Mine goes up on Sunday, I'm quite excited, I've even been on a DT before!

Hopefully I will have more to share soon, when I'm feeling a bit better
That's it for now. Thanks for looking as always! xx
