A Girl!

The first layout of my gorgeous little niece! It's great that after 3 nephew's I can finally get all girly!
I started using some pink paint and a sponge to create the background, I then added some stamping and some green drops of paint around it. I added a doily and matted the photos, added a stripe of pretty paper which I cut with decorative scissors and then highlighted the edge with paint. I then clustered shapes under the edges of the photos.

I also used one of my handmade yoyo's as the colours matched really well

I look forward to creating a lot more girly pages!
Thanks for looking! xx

On the Beach

I think I kind of needed some time out from scrapping which I had but I really missed it so I started creating again but I think I'm enjoying it more for having a break. There is so much I want and need to scrap so I really do need to get my scrap on again!

Here is a layout I made for my nephew's scrapbook, it is of him having a lovely time on the beach and yes, the sand did end up going in his mouth, nice and crunchy!

Quite simple but I think I got away with it! I will be back with another layout that is currently on my table and just needs finishing off soon.
Hope all is good with you, if you visited here please leave a comment and I will try give you on back.
Thanks for stopping by! xx

Avengers Cake

Sunday's challenge at The Studio was about food, a nice easy one to create a layout about food especially as I make lots of cakes so it had to be about one of those!
I chose the Avengers cake I mad my nephew for his 5th Birthday, he wanted all the Super Heros on it which was a challenge but with the way his face lit up when he saw it, it was definately worth it!
Back on to my best white cardstock as I have finally stocked up with it again!

You can check out all the design team's makes for the challenge here. You can also see a sketch I made for the previous challenge, I'm hoping to make a layout with it soon as I didnt manage to make it for the challenge so I will be back to show you it.
Back soon xx

Party Hair

About time I shared something again on here! A quick layout I made a few weeks ago of my nephew with gel in his hair.
I have a craze of making layouts on white cardstock ALL the time at the moment as I like how bright colours look on white, so I was pushing myself to use other colours as I'm running low on white! So what other colour to go to? Black!
I started by using a stencil of small crosses with white paint to make it really stand out, I was pleased with how it turned out as it added pattern with being patterned paper. Then I cut some triangles out in contrasting yellow and created a small cluster and then added some ribbon and Thickers is the same colour of my nephew t-shirt. And you cant go wrong with a few paint drops!
Quick and easy but quite effective!

I'm just back from a nice relaxing holiday in Croatia, it was great to get away from it all and stare at the beautiful sea!
Bliss! Wish I was there for longer!

Springs Sprung

There's another new challenge over at The Studio, there happened to be three challenges in March. For this one it has a Pinterest Challenge and I picked a lovely spring pin to inspire everyone. The design team did a great job with it and as I picked it I had to join in with it! Here's my take...
I took inspiration from the photo with the wheel of the bike which created the circle, the flowers and colours and the bike itself! I managed to find a great little stamp of a bike to add to my page which was prefect! It felt good to make this layout and create again, I dont seem to have the time at the moment with my course but I miss it!
Go over to The Studio to see the pin and the great design team inspiration.
Thanks for looking! xx

Fingers

I'm finally back after dusting this place off! Don't know where the time goes! Lots happening but no time to blog it! Anyway we've got some catching up to do, including my Christmas journal, which still isn't finished, but it will be! First up a couple of layouts from The Studio.
This was my take for the challenge from 18th January which was to clear up your desks, have you got things laying on your desk that need to be scrapped? If you have, now is the time to use them!
One of my gorgeous nephews! He doesn't stuck his thumb like most children but his two middle fingers! I've had this photo laying around waiting to be scrapped for his album to a while, it needed to be scrapped so I'm glad it now is! You have until 1st Feb to enter the challenge. We are also having a design team call for The Studio Challenges I looking for some great scrappers to join our team so please check that out if you would like to be part of a great team!

The next layout I made for The Studio ages ago and never got around to blogging, sorry for the poor photo. The was for our mixed media challenge at The Studio from 26th October.
I loved this challenge as I love mixed media, it was good to get all my stamps, paint and stencils out!

That's it for now, hopefully it wont be so long until the next time!
