Hand Cutting

It's been boiling here all weekend, gorgeous sun though! I've had a nice quiet weekend and got quite a few jobs done, did a bit of scrapping and I'm working on a little project, that I won't tell you about just yet!!
I haven't shown you the sewing project that I was on last week. I made these 2 small bags for a present for the baby twins I went to visit last weekend. I made some little bags for my nephew when he was born and his mum has found them really useful and is still using them now so I thought it would be a good present to give them. First one has a boat on it!
Here's a close up of the boat, I hand stitched it all, I'm quite pleased with this one!
The next one has a car on! I'm not so pleased with this one, as it's a bit of a funny shape!
On Friday I thought I would make some cupcakes and try out a new icing technique that my sis told me about. It's where you don't mix the colouring so you get 2 different colours running through it, this is my attempt!I'm quite pleased with how they turned out in the end, it makes them look really pretty!
Look at that edge of pink on this one...
My next challenge has gone up on The Studio. Today's challenge was 'Make a layout using only cardstock, patterned paper and alphabet stickers' For my layout I scrapped a photo for Hampton Court from April when we went there. I thought it needed a classical theme so I got a sheet of Laura Ashley patterned paper and cut all the flowers and vines out from it! I did have a bit of hand ache after but I think it was worth it! I didn't think it needed much else so I just matted the photo and then stuck the vines and flowers on with foam pads to make them stand out and added the title.
I do like a bit of hand cutting!
Well that it for now, I'll be back soon with some more layouts to show you! Hope you enjoyed your weekends. Thanks for looking. xx
